Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the EduReach website and your engagement with EduReach services. By accessing this website or contacting EduReach, you agree to these Terms.
1) Definitions
- EduReach: A South African regional parent media platform distributed through partner schools.
- Parent Pack: A professionally printed A5 booklet distributed to families via learners through partner schools on a quarterly cycle.
- Edition: A municipality/region-specific Parent Pack (e.g., Ekurhuleni Edition) produced quarterly.
- School Partner: A school that distributes Parent Packs via learners.
- Advertiser: A business purchasing advertising space inside the Parent Pack.
- Sponsor: An individual or business providing support (donations, resources, or services) to a school; not an advertising purchase.
2) About EduReach
EduReach is not a digital advertising platform. Distribution is primarily physical through printed Parent Packs. Parent Pack examples may be showcased on the website to demonstrate format and build trust.
3) Editions and distribution model
EduReach operates through municipality-based editions. Each edition is produced as a printed Parent Pack distributed through partner schools within the same region.
Parent Packs are typically distributed once per school term via learner report envelopes.
The first edition for the Ekurhuleni region is planned for Launch Term 2 2026.
4) Website use
You agree not to misuse this website. In particular, you may not:
- Attempt to access restricted areas or interfere with site security
- Upload malicious code or perform actions that degrade site performance
- Copy, reproduce, or redistribute website content without permission, except where legally allowed
5) Intellectual property
The EduReach brand, website content, layout examples, and materials are protected by intellectual property laws. Advertisers retain ownership of their own artwork and trademarks. By providing materials to EduReach for placement, you grant EduReach a limited right to use those materials for layout, production, proofing, and promotion of the relevant edition.
6) School partnerships (distribution partners)
Schools do not pay to participate. A School Partner typically agrees to:
- Confirm learner count (distribution volume) and a distribution schedule
- Receive printed Parent Packs and distribute them via learners to parents
- Confirm distribution completion to EduReach
EduReach editions are municipality/region-based and use one standard master artwork. Schools are not required to provide school-specific pages, principal messages, or editorial content.
7) School distribution contributions
Schools do not pay to participate in EduReach Parent Pack distribution.
Partner schools may receive a small distribution contribution per Parent Pack delivered. The contribution amount may vary by edition and is generally within a range of R1.00 – R1.50 per Parent Pack distributed, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Distribution contributions are calculated based on confirmed learner distribution numbers and may be paid after distribution confirmation for the relevant edition.
8) Advertising packages and fixed slot limits
Each Parent Pack edition has limited advertising inventory. Once placements are booked, inventory closes for that edition.
- Back Cover: 1 placement
- Inside Front Cover: 1 placement
- Pack Pro: 3 placements (full-page)
- Pack Plus: 4 placements (half-page)
- Pack Lite: 8 placements (quarter-page)
- Pack Local: 16 placements (directory listing)
9) Advertising booking, artwork, and approvals
To place an advert, advertisers may be required to:
- Select a placement/package and provide municipality or region targeting
- Supply artwork in the required format or request assistance
- Approve final proofs within a specified timeframe
EduReach may decline or request changes to advertising content that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate for a parent-facing school-distributed publication.
10) Advertising pricing
Advertising placements are offered on a fixed per-edition pricing structure. Typical launch pricing for the Ekurhuleni edition is as follows:
- Back Cover: R25,000
- Inside Front Cover: R18,000
- Pack Pro: R12,000
- Pack Plus: R6,000
- Pack Lite: R3,000
- Pack Local: R1,000
Pricing may be revised in future editions as distribution reach grows. Early advertisers may secure launch pricing.
11) Payments, cancellations, and refunds (advertisers)
Payment terms may be specified per booking or invoice. Due to print production timelines, cancellations close to print deadlines may not be refundable.
If a cancellation is approved, any refund amount, if applicable, may be reduced by incurred costs such as layout work, proofing, and printing commitments.
If an edition is delayed due to factors beyond EduReach’s reasonable control, including supplier delays or school calendar changes, EduReach will communicate updated timelines.
12) Distribution and delivery disclaimers
EduReach works with partner schools to distribute Parent Packs, but distribution outcomes can be influenced by practical realities such as attendance, school calendar changes, and operational factors at school level.
EduReach will take reasonable steps to coordinate, track, and confirm distribution.
Distribution occurs through independent partner schools and EduReach cannot guarantee that every Parent Pack will reach every parent, household, or reader.
13) Sponsors (not advertisers)
Sponsorships are not advertising purchases. Sponsors provide donations, resources, or services to schools. EduReach may assist by:
- Connecting sponsors to appropriate school contacts
- Following up to confirm sponsorship delivery and outcomes
- Producing updates or stories for visibility where appropriate and with consent
EduReach may only partner with schools that can provide sponsorship documentation where required, including for sponsor governance, accounting, or SARS purposes.
14) Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, EduReach is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from your use of this website or from participation in an edition, including delays or third-party actions beyond EduReach’s reasonable control.
15) Privacy
Personal information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. Please review the Privacy Policy page for details.
16) Changes to these Terms
EduReach may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
